Product Update · July 2026

July brought expressive new avatar animations, expanded AI voice options, smarter 'auto-healing', and a smoother onboarding experience.

Crying facial animation

Caucasian Adult Female, in the clinic setting, now shows visible tears during emotional moments, making patient interactions feel more realistic and human. This opens the door to richer scenarios involving grief, pain, distress, and empathy training. Enable it under States → Start → Appearance.

New AI voices

Three patients now have new AI voice options: "Nisha", "Lauren", and "Maya". Each voice has been updated to sound more natural and expressive. British English AI voices have also received additional enhancements for quality and consistency.

New Korean voices

New Korean voice options are now available, offering more natural-sounding pronunciation and a more authentic experience for Korean-language simulations.

Transcription auto-healing

The pcs.ai platform now automatically detects when speech has been synthesized incorrectly and regenerates it on the fly — no manual intervention needed. Voice quality issues that previously required a fix request will now largely resolve themselves.

Click-to-see vitals

Vital signs and waveforms are now hidden by default, requiring learners to actively check them — just like in a real clinical encounter. Every check is automatically logged for each patient state, giving instructors a clear picture of assessment behavior. Toggle this on or off per resource set under Resource Set Settings → Available Tools.

New Getting Started pop-up

A redesigned onboarding experience greets new users with a cleaner, more guided setup flow — helping educators get their simulator configured faster and with less friction.

AI-enhanced UI translation for French

The French-language interface has been fully retranslated using AI-enhanced tooling, resulting in more accurate, natural-sounding text throughout the platform. Additional languages are on the way.

Vital monitor improvements

Several visual and functional issues affecting the Vital Monitor display have been resolved, resulting in a cleaner, more reliable monitoring experience during simulation.
